Environmental responsibility

Elemaster Group Corporate Responsibility

Elemaster Group has adopted all the quality certifications required to operate in high-tech sectors and ISO 14001 in the field of environmental protection.

Elemaster Group recognizes the importance of protecting the environment for the welfare of future generations, the safety of working conditions and health of its employees and the communities affected by the processes and products of the Company. For these reasons, the Group is engaged in a continuous search for solutions to achieve these objectives and in the application of procedures to demonstrate the full control on them.
This commitment is reflected in the definition of initiatives designed to minimize the use of natural resources and all types of emissions and generation of waste, at the same time to maximize the reuse of materials and the use of recyclable materials.

The identification of projects for the improvement in these areas is encouraged at all levels through training activities, approval and evaluation of them occur at the level of the Steering Committee at regular meetings.

The company managers, in order to recognize and accept their responsibilities, are required to operate assuring that the Company:

  • comply with laws and regulations and apply the defined procedures
  • demonstrate an effective assumption of responsibility
  • it is absolutely certain that all employees have full knowledge and awareness of the potential risks related with the work performed.

Social responsibility

Elemaster promotes Corporate Social Responsibility as a synonym of creativity that tends to multiply the so-called “socio-competitive synthesis” solutions, those innovations that make it possible to meet the expectations of various stakeholders, beyond what is required by law, while contributing to support corporate performance.

Precisely for this reason Elemaster has always paid special attention to the territory and its needs within the social sphere, supporting over the years many initiatives, with the aim of giving back in a virtuous circle what has been received, starting from skills, from passion for work and the loyalty of the people that chose to work for the Group.

Conflict Mineral Policy

Elemaster supports ending the violence, human rights violations and the environmental degradation in the mining and trading of certain minerals (gold, as well as tin, tantalum, and tungsten, derivatives of cassiterite, columbite-tantalite, and wolframite) from a location described as the “Conflict Region”, situated in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) adopted final rules to implement reporting and disclosure requirements related to “conflict minerals,” as directed by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. The rules require manufacturers to disclose whether the products they manufacture contain “conflict minerals” that are “necessary to the functionality or production” of those products.

Elemaster commitment:

  • Do not knowingly procure specified metals that originate from mines in the “Conflict Region” that are not certified as “Conflict Free”.
  • Ensure compliance with these requirements, and ask our suppliers to undertake reasonable due diligence with their supply chains to assure that specified metals are being sourced only from:
    • mines and smelters outside the “Conflict Region”
    • mines and smelters which have been certified by an independent third party as “conflict free” if sourced within the “Conflict Region”.

Elemaster has obtained or is in the process of obtaining information from its suppliers concerning the origin of the raw materials used to produce gold, tin, tantalum and tungsten, used in the materials to manufacture components and products supplied to Elemaster, originate from outside the “Conflict Region” or that the mines or smelters be certified as “conflict free” by an independent third party. The aim is to ensure that only “conflict free” materials and components are used in products that we procure.

If we discover the use of these minerals produced in facilities that are considered to be “non-conflict free”, in any material, parts or components we procure, we will take appropriate actions to transition product to be “conflict free”.
