Access to healthcare also depends on the possibility to reach it. Elemaster is proud to support the new bidirectional shuttle service connecting San Leopoldo Mandic Hospital in Merate and Alessandro Manzoni Hospital in Lecco, now officially in operation after completing its first journey.
Active from Monday to Friday during the trial period from March to September 2026, the service is designed to make access to care easier for patients, especially elderly people, vulnerable individuals and those without their own means of transport. The route also includes intermediate stops and an accessible vehicle for wheelchair users.
In attendance at the inauguration event were Marco Trivelli, General Manager of the ASST, Mattia Salvioni, Mayor of Merate, and the Lecchese Community Foundation, which acted as guarantor for the sponsorship, along with the other sponsor Novatex.
Valentina Cogliati, President & CEO of the Elemaster Group, commented:
“We are glad to support this extremely important service. The shuttle helps not only patients and the elderly, but also their families. Giving access to healthcare means paying attention to the needs of the territory and of most vulnerable members of society.”
By contributing to the reactivation of this service, Elemaster supports an initiative that strengthens accessibility, inclusion and continuity of care across the local area.
Supporting projects with a tangible social impact means investing in the wellbeing of the community and in a more connected, more inclusive healthcare system.
