Elemaster’s Contribution to SKAO shines at IOD Torino 2025

The IOD, Industrial Opportunity Days 2025 concluded with great success, a significant event organized by ILO Network Italia and Ceipiemonte, with the support of the Turin Chamber of Commerce. This edition represented a crucial opportunity for Italian SMEs eager to explore synergies and business opportunities with leading European and national research institutions in the field of Big Science.

Among the hot topics of the event, nuclear technologies for energy and research stood out, reflecting the growing interest in advanced scientific infrastructure and the strategic role of innovation in this domain.

A central moment of the event was dedicated to the SKAO (Square Kilometre Array) project, an unprecedented global scientific initiative aimed at building the world’s largest and most sensitive radio telescope, distributed between Australia and South Africa. Participants were able to view an explanatory video produced by INAF, which illustrated the valuable contribution of Italian companies involved in this ambitious project.

In this scenario of technological excellence, Eletech, the innovative heart and Research and Development (R&D) hub of the Elemaster Group, stands out as a protagonist. Participation in IOD Torino 2025 highlighted Elemaster’s key role in the SKAO project. In fact, the Group was awarded a contract for the design and construction of a high-performance digital processing system intended for the SKA-Low telescope operating in Australia. This cutting-edge system is fundamental for processing the enormous amount of data that will be collected by the radio telescope.

The involvement in the SKAO project is a clear example of how Made in Italy is a fundamental added value for Big Science. The engineering skills, technological innovation, and reliability of Italian companies like Elemaster contribute significantly to the success of international scientific projects of this scale. Eletech’s ability to design and build complex and technologically advanced systems demonstrates the competitiveness and excellence of Italian industry in the global landscape of scientific research.

The presence and contribution of the Goup at IOD Torino 2025, together with its crucial role in the SKAO project, highlight how the quality of Made in Italy is a strategic lever for the advancement of scientific knowledge and for the growth of the national industrial fabric.
