Description
- We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Product Engineer with a strong focus on PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems and product codification to join our dynamic team at Elemaster (Shanghai). This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and efficient product data management throughout the product lifecycle, from design to manufacturing and end-of-life. The Product Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, design, manufacturing, and quality, to establish and maintain product codification standards, manage product data within the PLM system, and support the successful production of high-quality electronic products for our clients. This position based in Shanghai (Fengxian) reports to the GM and it is a full-time.
Responsibilities
- PLM System Data Management: Become a key user for company’s PLM system (Oracle Agile). This includes managing workflows and data integrity.
- Product Codification & Standardization: implement existing product codification standards and naming conventions to ensure consistent and accurate product identification across the organization.
- BOM Management: create, maintain, and manage accurate and up-to-date Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the PLM system, ensuring proper component selection, revision control, and change management.
- Documentation Management: analyze customer documentation and cooperate with Manufacturing team to realize and validate internal production documentation which are then uploaded into PLM system.
- Engineering Change Management (ECM): manage the engineering change process within the PLM system, ensuring that changes are properly documented, reviewed, and implemented.
- New Product Introduction (NPI) Support: support the NPI process by ensuring that all product data, including drawings, specifications, and BOMs, are accurately entered and managed within the PLM system.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance PLM system usage, product data management, and overall efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- English language.
- Previous experience in EMS environment.
- Strong experience with PLM systems is required. Oracle Agile experience is a plus
- Deep understanding of product codification principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in BOM management and engineering change management processes.
- Experience with Gerber/CAD software (e.g., Viewmate, Altium, Allegro, AutoCAD) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
