We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing process, ensuring that all safety regulations are followed, and monitoring the quality of products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of production processes and techniques, as well as excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Essential functions and responsibilities
- As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for production line management duties, including identifying opportunities and implementing solutions for continual improvement of Manufacturing processes, Lean initiatives, and Quality and Regulatory compliance.
- The role will support production schedules based on product introduction, labor/equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
- Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
- Plans work assignments for the group on the basis of priority and worker skills.
- Identifies and executes continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensures product conformity to IPC specifications & quality standards.
- Enforces company policies & safety regulations while leading by example of positive reinforcement.
- Measures and improves productivity, equipment performance, procedures, guidelines, methods & quality.
- Analyses & Engages in ongoing improvements of departmental and process goals.
- Performs activities of workers supervised and coordinates activities among departments and supervisors.
- Plans and efficiently achieves work goals.
- Reviews work orders, product specifications, technical instructions and facility requirements, requisition tools
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures and processes to meet production schedules.
- Demonstrates methods and trains workers in processing tasks, operation, and control of machines and equipment.
- Maintains time and production records and prepares cost, yield, breakage, and maintenance reports.
- Inventories and requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies for department activities.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase the department’s efficiency.
- Analyzes and resolves work issues or assists workers in solving work issues.
- Routinely confer with management regarding the performance of assigned staff.
- Authority to impose disciplinary actions by the company’s employee handbook. Must review with Human Resources all recommendations of discipline.
- Managing shipping of products to customers.
- Oversee and provide direction/instruction to assemblers and technicians.
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.
- Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently.
- Willing to give extra time and effort to complete tasks when needed.
- Must have strong leadership and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must manage multiple tasks, priorities and quickly adapt to changing situations.
Qualifications Required
- An associate degree in electronics or equivalent
- 3+ yrs experience with PCB assembly; SMT, Thru-hole, coating, and electro-mechanical manufacturing, preferably complex electro-mechanical or high-tech products
- PCB assembly equipment knowledge & experience; SMT Screen Printer, 3D SPI, Pick and Place, Reflow, AOI, X-Ray, Selective Soldering, Coating
- PCB assembly testing and repair experience
- Experience in SAP or Infor LN, and agile
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Willing to learn and adapt
- Efficient in Time Management, Problem Solving, Organized & Self-Motivated
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Ability to work well with teams
- Excellent attention to detail
- A strong sense of urgency and drive to succeed
- Experience with process improvement methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
